The Whole Body FDG PET Atlas, also developed by the CIMI Interactive Media Group, is an online resource and educational tool incorporated with a CD-ROM you can purchase containing hundreds of nuclear medicine images and reports from actual case studies.
The PET Brain Atlas, also developed by the CIMI Interactive Media Group, is designed to be a resource and educational tool to teach its users how to read and interpret various types of PET brain studies. Over 100 actual patient cases have been collected and the user is able to view the PET scans along with the scan report, the admissions reports (when available), and any supporting MRI or CT images.
The 18FDG-PET and PET/CT Image Atlas is a free, Web-based educational tool that features a compendium of cases which demonstrate normal and benign pathology findings and addresses some of the technical challenges associated with PET and PET/CT including reconstruction and artifacts. The atlas is hosted by the Joint Program in Nuclear Medicine, a collaborative venture between Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center, and Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Books:

Molecular Imaging and Its Biological Applications
Dr. Michael E. Phelps, Editor

This book covers topics ranging from the basic principles of physics and instrumentation, molecular assays, preparation of molecular imaging probes, and biochemistry relevant for PET. The book also has chapters on basic and clinical applications in cancer, as well as normal functions and diseases within neurological and cardiovascular systems. The chapters provide a complete overview of the topic material and guides the reader through the subject matter, along with problems that are worked out to assist the learning process. Readers also benefit from the extensive references and suggested reading material as well as its textbook style.

PET and PET-CT in Oncology by Dr. Peter Oehr, Dr.Hans-Jürgen JuBiersack, Dr. R. Edward Coleman

In a clear and straightforward fashion, this heavily-illustrated text offers instructive information and overviews of the basic principles of PET and PET-CT as well as the routine clinical PET scanning procedures for all important oncological indications.

Positron Emission Tomography by Dr. Peter Valk, Dr. Dale L. Bailey, Dr. David W.Townsend, Dr. Michael N. Maisey.

A comprehensive and contemporary reference book that reflects the tremendous increase of PET as both a clinical and research imaging modality in the past 10 years. Chapters go into detail on PET applications in oncology, the central nervous system, cardio-respiratory systems, infectious diseases and pediatrics.

Includes interactive DVD-ROM

Second Edition

Sally F. Barrington, Michael N. Maisey and Richard L. Wahl

The second edition of this comprehensive clinical atlas will continue to present the combined experience of two of the world's leading PET centers as the technique has moved on from its formative years to gain established value in clinical practice. The book has been substantially rewritten to take account of the exciting developments that are occurring with the introduction of PET/CT, and new 'state-of-the-art' PET/CT images are presented. The new edition continues to be presented as a series of 'mini-lectures' carefully designed for rapid assimilation, illustrated by case histories in which high-quality illustrations are supplemented by clear concise teaching points and directions for further reading.
